Before your tan
If you have a sensitive skin condition or any allergies, please notify the technician before the airbrush tanning application.
Exfoliate your entire body with a non-oil based exfoliant prior to your tanning session. If you do not have a body exfoliant you may use a washcloth and brown sugar to exfoliate your skin.
Wax and shave 24 hours prior to your spray tan.
It’s recommended to have your manicure and pedicure 24 hours prior to the tanning session.
Remove any make-up, deodorant, jewelry, or lotion.
It is very important to have clean, dry, and exfoliated skin for your airbrush tanning appointment. Any residue left on the skin may act as a barrier making the tan less effective.
After your tan
To ensure a long, beautiful tan avoid contact with water for the first few hours. Please follow the technician’s instructions for the appropriate shower off time. For the RAPID tan, shower within 2-4 hours after the tan has been applied. Shower after 2 hours for a light tan or 3 hours for a dark tan.
The RAPID tanning solution is not made to stay on the skin longer than 4 hours.
After your tanning session, we recommend that you wear clothing that is darker in color before your post-tan shower. The cosmetic bronzer that is applied may rub off on your clothing but should be easily washed out. Nylon, silk, spandex, and wool tend to absorb the bronzer so please avoid these fabrics.
Avoid bar soap especially Dove and the like. Use a mild body wash to extend the life of the tan.
After your first post tan shower apply a great moisturizer each and every day. This is essential, as it will enhance the longevity of the tan.
Avoid exfoliates, hot showers and Jacuzzi soaks. Excessive swimming and perspiration can fade your tan faster.
Make sure you always use sunscreen. Your airbrush tan is not a sun protectant.
Your tan can last between 7- 10 days depending on your before and aftercare.
The better prepared your skin is for the airbrush tan and cared for after will determine the longevity and quality of the tan.
